The Crops You Seed In Farmville Depend On The Amount Of Spare Time You Have
Tens of millions of people play Farmville, the staggeringly successful farming virtual world. And one of the top three most-asked questions is, “What are the best crops to grow?” But there is no accurate answer until you define exactly what you wish to accomplish. For instance, are you interested in making the most money or do you worry about your crops dying before you can get back to your computer? And do you know that some crops aren’t available at the novice level but must be earned?
To be winners we need to accumulate money as quickly as possible and if we make poor choices in our first crops it will slow down our progress. To make wise farming choices we much know two critical pieces of information: our costs + our yield. One of the best crops has two costs: 190 coins for planting and 15 coins for harvesting for a total of 205 in costs. Ah, but the profit side looks great: 381 coins for selling your crop. winrar unzip free download . This leaves a total of 176 coins for each harvest, which is one of the most profitable on Farmvile. And this green crop – in both color and money – is none other than the familiar pea plant. Yes, little green peas that we’ve all eaten many times.
There are two other crop considerations in Farmville. The first is that some plants will “wilt” in a very few hours. This means that if you’re not on your computer for several hours your crops will die and all the money you’ve invested in them will be lost. So if you’re going to bed for around eight hours then you’ll want to plant something that won’t wilt while you’re asleep.
We’ve also mentioned that some crops aren’t available until you’ve reached some of the game’s higher levels. But it’s fairly easy to reach Level 5 and once you’re there a terrific crop to plant overnight is the pumpkin. Pumpkins take eight hours to come to harvest and then you have a further eight hours before they wilt. They cost 30 coins and will bring in 68 coins once harvested.
When you’re a Farmville newbie, the options you have for planting aren’t very extensive. There are currently only 13 crops available at Level1 out of the dozens and dozens of possible crops in this virtual farming world. For instance, you can plant Eggplant which pays only 48 coins – and takes TWO FULL DAYS to mature! Another example of a poor crop is Soybeans which only pay 33 coins and take one day to mature. These crops are useful only if you will be away from your computer for an extended time. If you’re a serious gamer, though, they’re terrible. You won’t reach those upper levels quickly if you take such a long time to raise any money. Contrast those with Super Berries that pay 75 coins – and mature in two hours. You can have multiple crops of those in the time it takes to grow one Eggplant or Soybean crop.
When you reach the higher levels, you can choose some eight hour crops like these: at Level22 you can plant Forbidden Rice which pays 85 coins; Golden Poppies (Level25) pay 65; Lotus (Level30) pays 75 coins. You can plant almost three crops per day with this harvest time so if you owned all three, you would accumulate approximately a whopping 678 coins per day. Sweet!
Just like in a real farm with soil, seeds and a multitude of reasons for possible failure, lack of organization will devastate your plan to quickly become a prosperous farmer. So it’s critical to be smart about your crops. You need to know which seeds to plant and the best way is to take notes on various crops so that you’re crystal clear about which ones are best for your situation. What you need to know is: your crop name, naturally; your cost which includes the cost of the seeds and the cost for planting or ploughing, as it’s called in this virtual world; the interval until your crop is ready for sale; your profits. In this way you can figure out what’s best for your situation.
One last way to make a horrible mistake is to forget how long you have to harvest your crop before it rots in the ground. You will lose your seed money and your planting money if you make this mistake and it’s a painful loss. If you plant White Roses and forget about them, it will cost you 15 coins for planting and 620 coins for the seed, for a loss of 635 hard-earned coins. The pain of losing that much money has driven gamers right out of Farmville. The worst part is that it didn’t have to happen because it’s an easily preventable mistake.
